5.0 out of 5 stars using the tree of life to trans form conciousness., 10 Feb 2006
By martin (northampton uk) - See all my reviews
This book is unique in the annals of modern occult literature in that it manages to combine two normally disparate qualities that are seldom found in such a harmonius whole amongst books of this type........ namely commonsense and readability. Here will not be found confusion for confusions sake ,or deliberate clouding of straightforward issues, oh no ....this author takes the tree of life and shines the clear light of reason and inspiration upon it resulting in a glowing pristine view of the subject not acheived before or since.Read this book

5.0 out of 5 stars A comprehensive guide to the Paths and their Workings., 14 Sep 2000
By A Customer
A delightfull exploration of the paths, their symbolism and the tarot's proposed placings on the tree. It includes some pracitcal suggestion re: pathworking tecniques.

If you can use this along with Vol 1. These two volumes are, for me, a mainstay to a broader perspective. His personal style and opinions will not suit everyone. He can seem rather dry at first reading. But if you are willing to use these books as a starter to personal work then you could do one heck of a lot worse.

5.0 out of 5 stars A "must have" for those with more than a passing interest, 1 Oct 2007

Of the books I have read on the subject this is the one I keep going back to. The book strikes a perfect balance by being neither a casual and superficial read nor dense and obscure. It makes an excellent reference text and is based on the glyph of the Tree of Life. It provides a wealth of associated images, symbols, meanings, myths, etc that assists one in getting a sense of the nature of the paths/spheres. I definately recommend it to anyone who has done some basic reading on the Qabala and wants to make a more detailed study of it.
