Intended as both a guide and a reference book to be used at home, the book provides information on how to select equipment, how to prepare for a field trip, which camera technique to use in the field and what to do in your home studio; all with an African emphasis. The author explains how to avoid common problems and reveals some of the secrets to shooting world-class wildlife shots.
About the Author
Richard du Toit grew up on a farm near Pietermaritzburg. He has a BSc Honours degree in Zoology and Entomology, but his increasing interest in wildlife photography developed into a professional career in 1995. Du Toit travels widely throughout southern Africa to game reserves and wilderness areas to capture his magnificent images. He is based in Johannesburg and has published images in South Africa and internationally in calendars, books and magazines. Du Toit has contributed to numerous books, including Creatures of Habit, Images from a Timeless Wilderness and African Wildlife Themes.
