If you are intending to travel to the northern parts of India only and stay maybe stay there for a while, this guide will give you a very good start. Rather than buying the Lonely Planet India guidebook, this one goes deeper on each subject, covers more places and adds much more value.

I have used it myself during two months and I have to say that life would be hard in India without it!

Lonely Planet covers all the accomodation, eating, travelling and the important sites to go on your India trip in a easy to read way!
