4.0 out of 5 stars Good Honest Inside Information, 23 May 2004
We are planning a trip to Colorado, Wyoming and Montana in June. Without this book we wouldn't have known where to start. There is a handy section at the beginning of the book; 'Highlights', which helped us narrow down the choices of places we really had to see in a short period of time. Most valuable of all is the authors honesty about which parks and areas are crowded and over-subscribed, and advice on where to go to enjoy much more secluded and equally as beautiful natural areas. It's written with a good sense of humour; many comments made me laugh out loud. But as well as that a very serious vein regarding environmental threats posed by tourists, and how to 'tread' carefully whilst enjoying the best scenery the USA has to offer.
