4.0 out of 5 stars Useful little book, 18 Feb 2003
By A Customer
Like all Lonely Planet guides, this is most useful for back-packers. But with the usual list of the best places to eat and drink and a moderate mix of hotels, it provides the basic information for any traveller to Auckland.

It's also small enough to fit handily into your jacket pocket, unlike its full sized brethren.

Unfortunately, this version is from 2000 and the references to 'millenium events' makes the book dated. Some places mentioned aren't the same now. Maybe it's better to wait for the next edition, as long as Lonely Planet actually write it...
