2.0 out of 5 stars Good overview for "first-timers",details sketchy., 10 Jun 2002
By Michael J Churchill (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This book is very good as a first resource to plan your first trip watching African wild-life.It provides a basic overview of parks and reserves and some detail of animals to be seen at each place.People who have made several trips will, however, find lack of detail a little frustrating. In particular the fourth largest private reserve in South Africa ,"Madikwe", was not listed at all. There is little information on infrastructure, how to get to reserves etc.Having said this, it is an enjoyable little book providing one has other resources to fill in the gaps.
