5.0 out of 5 stars The best cook book ever!!!, 4 April 2005
By A Customer
I am not much of a cook; but this book has turned me into some sort of expert on indian cooking. I bought this book after my brother in law highly recommended it. They said that the food they make from it is better than the food they get in indian restaurants!!!

I have made a few dishes from the book and I must say that I agree with them.

The hard bit about this cook book is getting hold of all the ingredience. I live close to a busy highstreet that has lots of Asian shops selling all sorts of spieces and the rest etc. I had to go into 5 different shops to get all the spices I needed for just one dish. Tesco in saved the day and I was able to get the last remaining spice. Here are some of the not so usual spices...fennel seeds, cumin, cardamom ground, coriander, tumeric, tararind concentrate & garam masala.

The book has full large colour pictures of all the dishes so that you know exactly what you are going to make. If you are like me, I want to use a cook book that have lots of pictures.

The instructions are very simple to follow.

I have not used as suggested "gee" in any of my cooking as "gee" is a high fat product and I am working on loosing weight. I am also using fromage frais instead of cream. The food still taste fantastic and my partner who is not on a diet also loves the food.

The book has a chapter on the following dishes -->vegetarian, fish, chicken, meat, seafood, bread, sweets, drinks, soups and snacks.

I am glad that I have found out about this range of cook books. I will definately be buying other Woman's Weekly books this year.
