Far Better than The Templar Revelation, 26 Mar 1999
By A Customer
I've read the Second Messiah and The Templar Revelation. Don't waste your time and money on The Templar Revelation it's pure nonsense, full of digs at these two guys because they totally discredited Picknett and Prince's first book on how the Shroud couldn't possibiliy have been made. This is the only scientifically sound explanation of the Shroud of Turin, despite what the lunatic fringe would have you believe. Great Read guys, solid science and clear logic. keep it up. Can't wait for the next one in the series.

Very readable and thought provoking, 24 Dec 1998

As a Freemason of 26 years, I am interested in reading information on Ancient Freemasonry. Mr. Knight & Mr. Lomas, congradulations. There is little doubt you have made many valid connections. As a Scottish Rite Mason, I have always known there was more depth than I gleaned on the surface of the degree work. It is my recollection that your comments on the higher degrees are consistent with how they were presented to me. I have no background in Latin, so I cannot comment on the accuracy of some of the interpretations ie Rex Deus, even if there is some disagreement, the basic concept remains solid. When the information presented in this text is added with other information such as found in "Holy Blood Holy Grail" and with very little logic applied, the facts speak for themselves. The state of Mental Hygiene which the Church of Rome would have the world believe is long over due to be cleansed. Masonry could be compared to the ocean. Some people never see it, some venture near, look but do not go in. Others may stick a toe in it and are satisfied, still others wade swim or become totally immersed in the ocean. So it is with Freemasonry. The Second Messiah is an excellent platform for those who wish further knowledge. I too would like to participate in the excivation work at Rosslyn. I eagarly await your findings. As for me, I will search other older books, consider going through the higher degrees again, this time with a much clearer and more open mind. I would also consider a sojourn to Scottland for exposure to the higher degree work there, to contrast that which I recieved in the State of Wyoming. In search of Truth.

Read the book, for a number of reasons., 23 Jun 1999

Regardless of whether or not you, the reader, will accept all of the conclusions made by Knight and Lomas, the book itself is truly eye-opening, and promises great thought provocation. I would say that this book is a must-read for anyone interested in alternative views on history, but is even more important for those who believe the world a simple place. At the very least, the style of the authours, if not the world cabbal they claim to reveal, disproves that. From the inside of the mystified world of Freemasonry, they draw a clear, poignant if sometimes disturbing picture of what they claim to be the truth behind many of the world's beliefs. If for nothing else, read this book for the vast body of rooted historical fact that the authours inserted between the pages of conspiracy theory. They draw on an enviable ocean of knowledge, and powerfully draw attention to connections between ideas, concepts and practices commonly looked over and neglected in the everyday world. Even those who pick this book up as skeptics will find themselves challenged to confront the authours, and I write this from personal experience.
