5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Freeflight Manual, 14 April 2000
By R. J. Maher "gordon_geko_2000" (Nottingham, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
As a beginner, I found this easily the best freeflight manual around. As well as excellent descriptive text, this is supported by very good and clear photographs, most of which are colour. Covers broader subject matter than other books I've read including weather, usual PG flying stuff, including what to do if your canopy collapses, safety, exams and advanced flying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic , I learnt so much from this book ..., 24 Jan 2002
By laurie@gavaghan.net (Isle of Wight) - See all my reviews
If you are learning to fly this book is a must, it is not written as a replacement for being taught in a school. But it will advance your understanding and knowledge about this fantastic sport. I bought this book just after I gained my CP and it helped be go on to do my first XC.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent covering subjects from take-off to air masses, 19 Dec 1998
By A Customer
Clear and concise book written in the style of a technical manual but with some life in it too. Excellent coverage in a very concise format.

3.0 out of 5 stars Following review recommendations I am very disappointed!
I am a complete beginner and expected to read a book for beginners but this is not so! When you read a sentence "the harness should be correctly fitted" it tells you... Read more
