This book is relatively small, I read it in one session, but nevertheless does have some useful tips. I would question the title of Field Guide, it's hardly something that you would take with you as a reference whilst in the field.

In fact the book is pretty light on technical information and concentrates on the art of seeing and composing your pictures. A very difficult area to teach, but the author does cover it reasonably well.

Good quality printing enhances some excellent, thought provoking photographs.

Overall I would recommend this book...

I would suggest you take a look at Charlie Waites "The Making of Landscape Photographs" as offering better value for money and covering the same subject material. And if you want something that covers the technical bits and bobs, have a look at John Shaw's books.
