1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money, 9 April 2003
By A Customer
This book is of no practical use to the 1st time Weimaraner owner. It is full of very general information on the breed which you can find in any other dog book. Don't waste your money like I did...

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money., 20 Jun 2002
By Clive (Dubai United Arab Emirates) - See all my reviews
This is a thin enough (and overpriced) book to start with and when you take out the endless different breed standards for different parts of the world plus the tedious section that describes lineage of the kennels even down to how the different owners met there's barely anything of substance left.
The photos are amateurish and poorly reproduced (even the cover photo is out of focus) and remind me of a school library text book from the fifties....all are in black and white. The text is peppered with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
A serious breeder would know the contents already and a beginner would be bored to tears.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good comprehensive book, 13 Jan 2000
By A Customer
I recently purchased this book for friends who have just bought their first weimararner. They felt that this book was exactly what they needed. It covers all aspects of looking after weimaraners from puppies through to showing and breeding.
