4.0 out of 5 stars An intriguing murder mystery., 26 Jun 2003
Antonio Tabucchi's novel is a beautifully well-written 'whodunnit' that left me hungry for more. His characterisations are truly wonderful and the twists in the story will leave you breathless. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this after my school teacher friend recommended it to me several years ago and thought I'd give it a rating so that others might also enjoy it. The title will make complete strangers ask you what it is that you're reading and you should tell them that it's a Portuguese murder mystery.
I thought it was great and it was a total departure from the types of books that I usually would read.
