This is a heafty A4 sized book, and is excellent if you are looking to get your first cat. The majority of this book has information on cat breeds, most with a picture, however some do not.

There is a breif health and safety section, and a few sections on general care, breeding and finding a cat. But these are just an overview really. If you are seriously looking into any one section, then look for a book specifically on that, as this book won't help.

There is an almost complimentary section on showing your cat, which is very short, and if your thinking of doing this, really isn't a great deal of help, again, get a book specifically on that.

I'd give it a good rating as a starting point for those new to looking after cats, but for people looking for more specific information, this book probably won't help.
