Maeve Conrick is a star! Not only have I at long last begun to WIN competitions after taking her advice, I found the book intelligently and wittily written. Not just a book for budding 'compers.' It offers many fascinating insights into the way we use language today. (Is this the same Maeve Conrick who wrote that wonderful book Womanspeak? )
