5.0 out of 5 stars Gastronomic treat!, 12 Mar 2001
By A Customer
Here I am planning some relaxing holiday activities and thought the lazy days book might fit the bill. Luckily their lazy day notions coincided with mine and they are all about EATING the day away. The book consists of some fabulous restaurant and menu reviews, you'll be salivating within minutes, and if you are a fussy eater, terrified of stuffed lambs feet and sweetmeats then you'll know the restaurants to avoid. If you can move after stuffing yourself silly at their recommended eating venues they also offer some history and information about the area around the restaurant and its nicely marked out into sections to cover for that day. It also contains some recipes from each restaurant that you could try at home, definitley a book for the foodlover..whether eater or chef!

5.0 out of 5 stars An interesting little book, 20 April 2003
If you're planning a trip to the Dordogne or Lot then the region's gastronomy will feature highly on your agenda and this little book will help you enjoy it.

The book details a number of the regions most individual eateries from ferme-auberge to high class restaurants and captures not only the menus but also the personalities of each establishment. Additionally there are recipes from each as well as a culinary glossary and introduction to the regional cuisine.

The writing style is immensely readable and whether you visit all or none of the establishments listed you'll gain a wonderful flavour (quite literally) of what your future holiday promises.
