5.0 out of 5 stars More twists than a rollercoaster, 23 Aug 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Magician's Tale (Paperback)
I picked this up by chance and couldnt put it down. I thought it would be the usual crime book, but no, totally original, totally gripping. The lead character is strong but likable, if a little naive. Strong storyline that is hard to guess. A great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Psychological Crime Novel!, 23 Jan 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Magician's Tale (Paperback)
This book is utterly un-put-downable! Kay Farrow is a great heroine, and the intricate plot and sense of place (San Francisco) creates a mood rarely found in this type of fiction. Hunt makes you FEEL the fog, the night, the loneliness of the night streets. Edgy eroticism and a sympathetic colorblind heroine make this novel special indeed. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, out of the ordinary plot, 15 Dec 2000

This review is from: The Magician's Tale (Paperback)
Intriguing story-line with characters of today mixing with key characters in a series of murders that occured 15 years ago. Is there a link? What is as it seems? Very likeable heroine - good background and feel for San Francisico - escapist, compelling and worth the time

4.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting plot and believable interesting characters
You fall in love with the story teller right a way similarly to the way you feel towards Miss Smilla in Peter Hoeg's book. Read more
