IN 2000, well-known Crewe photographer Gordon Davies spent many hundreds of hours trawling through his extensive picture archive to produce his first book Memory Lane Crewe. He followed this up with Volume II last year. Both became local bestsellers Now Gordon has done it again with another superb volume containing around 500 images of neighbouring Nantwich down the years. People, places and events are recorded and this eagerly-awaited new title in the Memory Lane series will again inform and entertain. For those who remember, the book will bring the memories flooding back. For others it will show them how life in Nantwich used to be. And with literally hundreds of faces, there are almost certain to be people recognised by the reader, perhaps a friend or even close relative. They may even find themselves within the pages!

About the Author
BORN in Crewe, the son of a cattle dealer, Gordon Davies has worked for the Crewe Chronicle, both as a freelance and a staff photographer, travelled Europe working for a holiday firm and photographed thousands of faces, the rich and famous as well as the ordinary people of Crewe, to whom he is a well-known face himself. This is his third book, after Memory Lane Crewe Volume I was published in 2000 and Volume II in 2001.

very interesting book.found myself my late father,and my best friend from school 44 years ago.have gone from beginning to end on many ocassions but still dont get bored with reading and viewing it.well done to the author. hope there is more tofollow.
