Got this book at the 2nd time of trying. Amazon's delivers thought it prudent to leave the book and others outside my house for every tom, dick and harry to see and take a liking to! Anyway, the book, some nice photos but nothing more than the generic type that could have come from any diving book. No maps of the sites be them 3d or otherwise. No real information on the site, e.g. direction of current, location of different types of coral and inhabitants etc. Just a short paragraph discribing the site and max depth. Not a book for any serious diver who wants to own something more than a momento to stick on their book shelf. The author, editor and publisher would do well to take a look at the material available on the red sea. Amaturish in comparison. Also hardly uptodate. My dive club came back from the diving the Mergui archipelago earlier in the year. The verdict a long way to go for nothing. Dynamite blasting going of as they were diving. The Similans were far superior apprantly. Then you don't need to be a brain surgeon to figure that as the Burmese don't ave a dive industry, there is no incentive to preserve the sites. In a nutshell, there is nothing in this book that you can't get from the net and your own semi decent camera. Save your money and don't waste it on this.
