About the Author

Harish Kapadia has been visiting the Himalaya for almost 40 years. During that time he has published nine books on the Himalaya and for the past 25 years has been the editor of the prestigious Himalayan Journal (a major authentic reference on the range). He was elected Honorary Member of the Alpine Club in London and has served as Vice President of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. In 1993 he was awarded the IMF Gold Medal. Married with two sons, he lives in Bombay. Consultant Victor Saunders is an internationally respected climber and qualified alpine guide. He is the author of Elusive Summits, which won the 1992 Boardman-Tasker prize and was featured in the Channel 4 documentary 'Magic Mountain' for UK television. He lives in Chamonix, France.
