This manual enables you to service & perform home mechanics on your beloved TRX850, it is a clearly laid out, well written, comprehensive manual, giving step-by-step instructions, from changing oil, to changing the engine, hundreds of photographs show the way, with ratings from beginner to expert, a history of Yamaha Twin engine development is also included, it's all here! Plus loads of other motorcycle maintenance tips. Haynes are famous for their excellent manuals and this one is no exception.

The book will save you money compared to garage servicing, a must have for any TRX Rider. If you happen to own a TDM or XTZ as well, the book covers both these models.

Typical Haynes manual, well photographed, packed with information and covers just about anything you're ever likely to want to do.

My only gripes would be it needs more colour to make it easier to orient things in your minds eye. Often the photo's (almost all in b/w) are taken from underneath or from some bizarre angle and it takes a couple of minutes to figure out what you're looking at. Also you sometimes find yourself flicking back and forward in the book to see all the entries about one part - a pain, but not unbearable.

Having said that it walked me easily and simply through a fairly complex first-time bit of mechanical work with no problems and that, after all, is what it's for.

Worth buying.
