Most problems can be solved with the use of this book, saving costly repair bills or potential outlay for a new machine.
Fault-finding chapters direct you to the relevant chapter, e.g. 'Machine will not turn drum' directs you to look at Belts, Motors & Door Switches chapters. Well set out step-by-step chapters.

If you're practically minded this is a worthwhile investment.

No need to buy both this book and the Washing Machine Manual - it's all in here! - as basically the same book arranged slightly differently with a few extra chapters about driers in this book.

Just last week helped me identify a broken drive-belt as the problem which was quickly, cheaply and easily rectified more than making up for the cost of the book. It's also rewarding to fix a problem yourself and usually with a little bit of common sense it's not half as complicated as it might first appear. Hope it's of use to you!

Don't expect specific wiring diagrams or schematics for your machine. However, if you have a basic technical knowledge and read the relevant chapters thoroughly, you should be able to suss out how your machine works and therefore locate the components for testing/diagnosis. Either way, I've repaired my washer dryer and serviced it with the help of this book - I really would've struggled without it. If any further problems occur, I'd feel confident to tackle them with the aid of this book.

Summing up, I feel confident it was money very well spent.
