It is worth remembering that the manual is designed primarily for owners, rather than as a workshop manual - very in-depth information on carburation and transmission overhaul are only to be found in Haynes "Gearbox manual" and "Carburettor Manual". Most owners would not undertake a gearbox overhaul, but the lack of carburettor information was disappointing as the procedures specific to Astra/Belmont carburettors are not difficult. In respect of everything else it is clear, detailed and very helpful. For all "service" tasks and anything up to quite serious repairs it is entirely adequate, and even someone with no previous technical experience could get a very long way with it. I'm serious when I say that mine has paid for itself tenfold over the last year in garage bills I would have paid.

ive read the manual cover to cover.
with clear photos and easy to understand description.it gave me a good basic understanding of what is happening to my car 'under the bonnet'
if you can buy it cheap then the book is very good value for money.
