Amazon.co.uk Review
The Complete Encyclopedia of Formula One is, quite simply, the bible of motorsport. Bruce Jones has crafted a masterful reference book which leaves all others standing on the grid. Its cover price isn't cheap but no devotee of Fomula One can afford to be without it.
It is a real heavyweight in terms of appearance--and also the amount of essential information on the history of the sport, drivers, teams, circuits and statistics carried on the pages--and it is certainly no coffee table filler, but a real working manual. Jones' use of pictures throughout the book complements the text which is concise, yet never misses a lap without the need for a pit-stop. And despite the use of black-and-white photographs Jones' language, obvious love and knowledge of the sport shine through the pages to leave the reader almost being able to experience the sounds and noises on a highly-charged grid during qualifying or on race day.
If you only ever purchase one motorsport book in your life, make sure it's this one because you can be guaranteed you won't ever need to buy another one!
