Having to use intermeddiate japanese on an everyday basis this book was not very helpfull.If you are going to japan for a day it may be usefull as it has simple expressions,such as please ,yes,no and thankyou.It contains very little basic sentences and finding them is even more difficult.The layout of the book is like a dictionary and probaly should be called a japanese dictionary not phrase book.I would not reccomend this book to anyone who intends to spend a condiderable amount of time in Japan.
