I used this guide and the Time Out Guide to Amsterdam for a long weekend. The Rough Guide had reasonable clear maps of the centre, but they were not always accurate. An example being that queen beatrix park looks much larger than it really is and on the map actually covers a large industrial area. The narative was OK but did not really fill enthuse me to visit anywhere mentioned. Fetsivals and events were lacking. It was useable, but there are better ones out there.
