Product Description

Product Description

This tipbook should help you to get the best out of a cello, make an informed purchase, and understand the jargon that you'll come across in magazines, brochures and on the Internet. 3.0 out of 5 stars Useful but uninspired, 3 Jun 2004
By A Customer
This is a good book that explains the parts of the cello to the would be cellist and what to look for generally in a playable cello. It would be better to spend money on a lesson with a cello teacher to `have a go', talk about what type of instrument to buy etc. Some teachers offer this first lesson free. The book is a bit on the dry side for me. Why not inspire readers as well with a few listening recommendations or ways to enjoy learning eg joining local string ensembles, practising with a pianist friend etc.
