5.0 out of 5 stars Discover Provence's many faces with this indispensable guide, 26 Mar 2001
By A Customer
This comprehensive travel guide will equip potential visitors to the Cote d'Azur with more than enough knowledge of the area, its attractions, culture and atmosphere to ensure they feel an uncanny familiarity witht he sights and sounds of the Riviera as soon as they arrive. Readers will be delighted with this insighful and practical guide, which does justice to the Rough Guide reputation for providing indispensable travel information. Although practical tips (such as hotel and restaurant reviews) may be the book's raison d'etre, they are complemented by clear maps, well-chosen photographs of the glittering coastline, and reader-friendly passages of local history. There is no doubt that my 'Rough Guide' will become a well-thumbed source of inspiration to go and enjoy the many faces of Provence, from its busy ports, quaint medieval hilltop villages and sun-drenched beaches.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent in-depth guide to this wonderful region of France, 6 Dec 2002
By A Customer
I love travel books that go into depth & this is no exception. Although this is only a small part of France is is geographically a large area & the mass of things to see & do (let alone drink & eat!) justify a thick book as we have here. I enjoyed it, used it & will use it aga when I return for the 4th time next year. Well done again, Rough Guides.
