Difficult to describe this.
On the one hand, it does offer description and analysis of the major issues covered in General Studies.
On the other hand it does so in a very basic manner with language and tone that seems a bit below A-level students' capabilities.
Example: the multiple choice questions in the "test yourself" section. Q3 - "art should ______ show you reality as it is". a) always b) never or c) sometimes.
The "test yourself section" is littered with questions like these or worse, totally ambiguous questions where you fill in a space in a sentence, without multiple choice.
This, and the fact that the book contains no section on how to deal with the language module of my General Studies course gives the book just 3 stars.
If, like me, you haven't been to any lessons, then this book will at least make you aware of the issues in GS.
For the price not bad, and get yourself some cool cds while you're at it....
