5.0 out of 5 stars making money on the stock market., 20 Dec 2006
By Robert M. Keeling "book worm" (London, London United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Jim Slater was a hero of mine about 30 years ago. His book details winning methods for picking shares that work. what's good about his book, is that it is written specifically for the English as opposed to the American Market, which means that everything applies here. One of the problems today, is that there is so much information out there, it is difficult to work out what works and what doesn't. But if you follow the advice in his book, (including when to sell a share) you won't go far wrong, and will do far better than fund managers. The only problem with the book is that I have recently lost my copy, so am having to buy another one!

2.0 out of 5 stars Beyond the Zulu Principle, 12 Aug 2009
By D. G. Mansion (Yorkshire UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Jim repeats most of his work from the Zulu Principle. To use his ideas effectively you will have to spend most of your waking hours on research of company information, and you will soon need a vast filing system.
