This is a very interesting look at how Jacqueline Gold proved her worth not only to the male-dominated sex industry, but also to her father and uncle, who "assumed I would just get married". To say she felt she had someting to prove is an understatement--that seems to be the driving force behind every move she's made, and she is at her most annoying when constantly seeking to reinforce her position as dominant sibling to her (seemingly ever-suffering) sister, Vanessa. Not amazingly well written (the style is somewhat naive and the prose rather immature) it is nevertheless a fascinating insight into a world that she has tried to take out of the shady, seedy streets of London's SOHO and into the living rooms of women throughout the UK and Northern Europe.

A terrible read. But hats off to Jacqueline for her business accomplishments. This book taught me that you don't need to be a genius to make a company work, just very very determined. She has what it takes.

When publishers chose barely readable fonts, it is almost always to try and disguise just how bad the book they are trying to sell you is.
This one's printed in a truly horrid font, and it's baaad.
