4.0 out of 5 stars an excellent guide for the amateur & professional alike., 27 May 2001
By A Customer
This book contains everything you need to know on the subject of plant propagation. All the techniques are outlined with clear diagrams. What I particularily like is the way in which common plants are listed with helpful hints to ensure you propagate with success. As a complete amateur this book has given me the confidence to try to multiply my existing plants rather than going out & buying some more. I shall be dipping into it constantly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gardening fun, 29 Jul 2009

I like this book for its clear and easy to follow lay-out for pretty much most of the plants you'll come across in your garden - and some you won't but that may well make you add them to your collection.

My only gripe is that I was looking for more detail than is provided on when to take - and, sometimes, how to take - seeds from your plant collection and then when to plant them. Since this is a minor part of the whole genre of propagation, I'm more than delighted with the book and I know I shall be referring to it over the next months and into next year.
