There seems to be a highly inventive streak in the manufacture of items with a golfing theme. From scarves, to teaspoons, from posters to vintage clubs there is something to collect for everyone.
I particularly like the quality of the photos in this book. They are clear, detailed and in good colour where appropriate. Each section is a revelation and the scale and quality of the memorabilia is fascinating whether you are a golf fanatic or not.
Another aspect of interest is the portrayal of Art Deco themed items. This seems to be a rich vein - there must have been a heyday for golf in the 1930s. There are some highly affordable items as well as those costing many hundreds of pounds. I was taken aback at the price some very rare golf balls will fetch. Amazing.
Readable descriptive articles and very well presented - a nice book to own.
