Product Description
All is not well with the universe - cutbacks have taken their toll, and the sun is dirty and late, thanks to being 30 billion miles overdue on its next service. None of the committees can agree on anything, and extreme measures seem called for. By the author of Ye Gods! and Flying Dutch .

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, 7 Jan 2002
By A Customer
Tom Holt's writing is absolutely amazing. With each book the stories, the narrative is getting better and better. Here Comes The Sun was my first Tom Holt book and is still one of my favourites. His humour is so precise, so funny that I still can't believe that any of his books have not been adapted to television or even film. Reading it recently the ending became also very sad and poignant with the use of George Harrison's song Here Comes The Sun. This is the kind of book that makes you feel good inside. Can be read in a day which is good, because then you can re-read it again and again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hugely enjoyable comic fantasy, 13 Feb 2007
By Tom Cremins (Toronto) - See all my reviews

In "Here Comes the Sun" Tom Holt creates one of the more outlandish storylines you can imagine, and holds everything together with great writing and well developed characters. His plotting is propulsive, and his pithy observational humour is always on target.

You have to take your hat off to a writer who can satirize the Civil Service, the Holy Roman Emperor and Creation mythology in the same story. Most importantly, this book is a lot of fun to read, and you'll find yourself going back to re-read the best passages

4.0 out of 5 stars very enjoyable, 26 Oct 2007

This was my first Tom Holt book and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Satire at it's best. Very funny in places and you find yourself nodding in agreement with how he's depicted some of the aspects of corporate life.
I have since read a few other Tom Holt books, but they haven't lived up to this one. Worth a read.
