Buy to Let property owners are not commercial property developers since they wish to enjoy the benefits of their purchase too. But many potential buyers just talk about investing and do not take the first step of buying a second property.

If it’s so easy to make money by owning income property, why aren’t more people landlords? A lack of knowledge is probably the greatest deterrent. People need to know how to get started, how to buy right, and how to finance a purchase with little or no money down. Tenants are the second major reason why people are afraid to become property investors. They’ve heard all the horror stories about unpaid rents, late night complaints, vandalism, and all the other bad things that can come with letting property.

I wrote Buy to Let in Spain to give people the knowledge they need to own a But to Let property successfully. I’ve included information on how to choose a good location, where to get legal advice, finding reliable tenants, the Spanish tax system and other important issues that you will need to think about. Hopefully this book will help you to fulfil your dream of owning a Buy to Let property in Spain.

I read many books on buying in Spain as you would expect, and because we deal with many first time investors in Spain we wanted a book we could tell our clients to buy while they were assessing their purchase options with us. This book ticks the boxes and I am happy to say that the author and our company are both on the right track. We particularily liked the yield formula and how close your property should be to the airport for rental purposes. Very good

I live in Spain and am looking to buy a house, however this book, on the whole is inadequate for investors. Most of the information is more suitable for the travel pages of a newspaper or a tourist guide book. Only a small portion is valuable to an investor. I don't normally have the time to write these reviews but felt compelled to give the author some much needed feedback. I also think the title is misleading due to the minimal focal on actually making a profit.
