2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing Read, 6 Sep 2003
By nexus "nexus-1" (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Having read Ajay's intro on how he started in 1995 with little more that £500 & now owns hundreds of properties all over the uk; I settled down to get some top tips and handy hints to follow in his footsteps. Well now I've read the book, I've realised I won't be catching up any time soon.

If you are looking for some indicators to identify new up and coming areas, look elsewhere. Considering I am a newbie in this, I still felt it was stating the obvious to tell me places like Notting Hill & Maida Vale were really good places to own a house. The areas stated in this book were all already very popular & therefore expensive & therefore out of most peoples league unless you were already on the property ladder, have a rich auntie not long for this world or you happen to know at least 5 of Saturdays winning lottery numbers.

The other stuff in the book is pretty much easily found on the web, although it is very handy to have in one place for convenience and comparitive value. Because it's a fast moving market , it's still best to check out current changes and not take the book at it's word.

Buy this if you have a spare 80k or so a great mortgage broker and you haven't been to London, otherwise your not really losing out.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not exactly hotspot - just popular places for investment, 17 Jul 2003
By Ganesh (London United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Ajya adds his own insight and analysis to each areas potential. The rental figures for property is probably the best bit of information.

This book saves you the hassle from using the available web resources and provides a one-stop shop to it.

1.0 out of 5 stars so many gurus so little time, 30 Aug 2008
I felt this didn't really come up with the goods.
There are two types of mentor/gurus at the moment.
One that charges and one that doesn't .
The information is all available free and up to date on the web.
OK for complete novices I suppose.
