3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, but of use if you have no other ideas!, 24 Jun 2002
By A Customer
The book was a disappointment as it didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. The main portion of the book seems to be taken up with quotes from people already in the field, which I personally found irritating and of little use. The book goes into everything in brief: breif descriptions of the work avaliable, of qualifications required, of preparing your CV, of obtaining experience.

To be fair, anyone who does not have any idea about what careers are avaliable or how to go about getting into work with dogs, it's as good a start as any. Beware the contacts listed however: I wrote to one society listed in the book and recieved a letter saying they could not help me... but if I bought the book 'Working With Dogs' by Pauline Appleby, I may find what I was looking for!!!
