If you've got a spare room and need some extra income, taking a lodger could be the answer. This book contains a lot of advice on taking in lodgers, with special emphasis on taking in students, including foreign students. If you're thinking of doing it, this book will give you a lot of useful information to get you started. It also warns of the pitfalls. After reading the book you will know what kind of joys and troubles to expect. It's practical, well structured, and easy to read. The author is a seaside resort landlady who has had students of all kinds. The book is aimed mostly at UK readers; potential landladies in other countries may not find all the information and contacts they need.
