5.0 out of 5 stars A superb book, 4 May 1999
By A Customer
I have to agree - this is probably the best work of fiction I've ever read. Fantastic (in every sense) characters and a crazy but captivating plot. It would make a great film (or Suede video).

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, 10 Nov 1998

Just buy it. Millar's best by far, and all of his books are superb. The (anti) hero Elfish has to be one of the most wonderful characters ever created.

With every Martin Millar book I read I find myself more and more in love with his style of writing. His books are addictive, his characters so flawed but lovable and his writing without pretense or pomp. I'd recommend this book to anyone.
