Each excursion or walk recommends at least one restaurant en route serving local cuisine, with photograph, price guide, opening times, sample menus, and recipes for some of their specialities. Other sections include: planning your trip, getting about, food shopping (including health foods and local markets), glossary of food terms and restaurant mini-vocabulary. A special feature is the emphasis on natural local foods suitable for those with food intolerances. All recipes have been made by the authors and are known to 'work'. A superb little book. For anyone who is visiting Mallorca for the first time and wants to visit the real island as against the tourist beaches this little book is just the thing. It fits easily into a pocket and the walks are well described and with good maps you will not go astray. The recommended restaurants and photographs are excellent and we visited several. Showing the book to the proprietors increased their hospitality no end.

This book is easy to read and inspirational. It opens up a whole new Mallorca and offers the oportunity to go off the beaten track and discover wonderful views, and taste fabulous authentic food. You can even re-reate some of the meals back home on a cold wet British evening when you are missing beautiful Mallorca. Great investment for any Mallorcan traveller who wants to explore.

This book was a nice to browse and I enjoyed looking at the recipes. It has good walks in it with good directions. However, it does not include anything new. All the walks were included in other walking books that we already had. If you want to go walking in Mallorca I would recommend getting a standard walking book as it will give you a greater choice of walks.
