5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational, 25 Jul 2000
By A Customer
If you only read one education book this year this should be it. The book covers a wide range of educational thinking including research on the brain, education for the 21st Century, multiple intelligences, learning to learn, supercamps and motivation. It is littered with examples of good practice from around the world, cuts out jargon and is a truly inspiring read

5.0 out of 5 stars An Easy way to access new ideas and theories, 12 Jan 2002
By A Customer
Dryden and Vos have produced a book that is easy to dip into and that can inspire you to go and find out more. The authors travelled the world looking for the best ideas in education that will enable children to learn more effectively. The book gives a flavour of new ways of teacahing such as accelerated learning and brain based teaching ideas. It also looks at the use of music in the classroom amongst many other things. Dryden and Vos set out to give a feel for some alternatives that have been proven to work classroom around the world. They succeeded and produced a television series, video and CD-ROM to accompany the book. An excellent way to begn learning about how to improve the learning of children. in home and at school.

5.0 out of 5 stars The concept of learning and education radically transformed, 27 May 1999
By A Customer
This highly motivational book creates an "AHA!" feeling, as it serves to guide individuals, schools, learning institutions and governments in transforming nations into active learners.

The highly practical guidelines enables one to immediately put into practise ideas discussed in this book.

Interesting concept on how to read 28 books a week. It works......

It is a must read for educators striving to be the best they can and even more important for parents as they hold the key for unlocking their children's potential.
