When you first come into Paganism it can seem rather vast and daunting, and the first thing you want to do is search for more information. Principles of Paganism is an enlightening and informative book that goes through the basic principles of this religion. There are times you are left feeling slightly confused about a topic that is particularly complicated, and at other times not enough information is given and you want to know more. But this is not a very common problem, and anyway this is just an introductory book. I would recommend this book to any new, confused Pagans, as well as to people who just want to know what it is all about without committing themselves to anything.

This isn't a book on Paganism. It's a book on Wicca. Like many Pagan Federation representatives, Crowley ONLY sees things from a Wiccan viewpoint and assumes everyone else does too.

Books like this one exclude the wider Pagan community by thier assumptions that everyone believes the same thing. Paganism is an umbrella term that covers a wide variety of beliefs, quite a number of which are nothing at all like the ones described in this book on Wicca.

This is a great book, one of the best, its clear and simple to understand. Its great for beginners and even better for those who are unfamilliar with Paganism. It hasnt much on practical paganism, as I already said, its only the very basics. If you are a beginner or someone just intrested in finding out more then get this book, its very simple and easy to understand, no rubbish and a great introduction into the faith.
