5.0 out of 5 stars A short and consise history of the Battle of Crecy, 10 Feb 2001
By A Customer
Another excellent book from Osprey as part of their historical campaign series. It covers the whole of Edward III's Crecy campaign, leading up to the battle where the English forces won an overwelming victory over the vastly superior French. Crecy was the coming of age of the Longbow and it was also the coming of age for the 16YO Edward, Black Prince of Wales, son of Edward III. The book contains some superb illustrations with plenty of maps and diagrams for each stage of the campaign making it easy to see who was where and when. If you are looking for a short, easily read description of the events at Crecy, then this is the book for you.
