Product Description

Product Description

Established in Birmingham in 1898, Norton would go on to have the longest history of any automotive marque in the world. From 1930 to 1937 the factory team won 78 out of 92 Grands Prix contested - no other team reached double figures. Later came Geoff Duke in the 1950s and the John Player team of the 1970s. The author has had full co-operation from people like Geoff Duke, Stanley Woods and Pa Norton's younger daughter Grace. The foreward is written by Murray Walker whose father was a Norton racer and Competitions Manager. Murray himself won a Gold medal in the 1949 International Six Days Trial on a 500T Norton.
