This book has been a good source of first stop information for me about BMW's, in particular my own cars basics.It seems to have all of the models you could want in there somewhere with articles from all over the world with lots of pictures. It also includes comparisons with other similar cars with loads of data.

A good read and something you can delve into to kill a few minutes (trouble is you tend to get stuck read it for longer) and then come back to later as the subject and articles are so diverse covering all of the E36 3 series models eg saloon coupe convertable compact 316 through to the M3.
