Have you ever bought a manual for your car or motobike? Popped into Halfords and grabbed a Haynes for your motor? This sort of book renders them useless.
Now, you would have to be a bit of a dedicated enthusiast to want to buy this book. It's written for the Dealership workshops, so it's hardly ideal for complete beginners. The sheer size of the book can look at first to be completely overwhelming, and the fear doesn't go away when you first spy the small type used. But read the first page, and you notice a step-by-step approach to doing anything to your big cat. Nothing is left out, nothing is ambiguous. Brilliant.

To be honest a big Jag is not for the occasional home mechanic -it's too complex, too thirsty, and too prone to going wrong in an expensive way. But if you know what to do with a torque wrench, circlip pliers and a dial-in gauge and of course own a Jaguar XJ-S, this manual will be of massive help. The best you can get by a street.
