I am thinking about buying a property in Spain as an investment and bought this book to find out more about the process. It's a good starting point. It covers property purchase both from the point of view of a prospective resident (i.e. moving out to Spain full-time) and as a non-resident (i.e. holiday home / letting). It has a review of the various areas and lots of information about the actual process of buying a house. There is plenty of information about tax and also about the costs and issues associated with rental. It also contains lots of useful contact details. Overall, very useful.

Introductory chapters have useful background information and a regional review of Spain, but the actual legal mechanics of buying are better covered elsewhere. I was also a little suspicious of the book's objectivity, as it plugs its sponsors, a foreign exchange agency.

There is a large useful section covering the whole of Spain and where to buy, though as usual the Murcia region gets only a little coverage. I like the case studies at the end of chapters, always useful to hear what other people are doing. Layout is good with the insider tips, and breakout boxes, making it easier to skim and find stuff afterwards. Whilst the book seems to be sponsored by an "interested" party I don't think it distracts from the value of the content. A useful book to get you started.
