I am not sure what the previous reviewer has been reading - but it clearly isn't this book. Victoria Pybus has put together a really useful reference book. She includes lots of information that is skimmed over or left out altogether in other similar titles. For example she goes into some detail about the various different business structures in France - something that I haven't seen in any other book about living and working in France. This will be hugely valuable to anyone considering setting up a new venture in France. If you need specialist advice or further information extra contact details are included alongside each subject. Don't be hoodwinked - this is a great book.

I was very disappointed with this book as I thought it would help me plan my move to France. In fact it created more questions than it answered. I expected to be told how to apply for a job, what it would be like working in France etc. etc. - but no luck. Much of the info. I could get from tourist guides. I also found some of the details out of date, although the book is quite new. The book also sounds like it has been researched by somebody, not written by someone who has actually worked in France which I think would be better.

Having a little knowledge of France and wanting to know more I was quite disappointed with this book. It provided a lot of historical info. but I could get that from any history book - It didn't have the details of daily life etc. that I was hoping for. Some of the information I checked was out of date. In desperate need of updating/expanding.
