As the title suggests, the book covers working with animals in the UK, and and the rest of the world. However, in trying to cover the UK and other areas I think the material on both topics has suffered. The UK info is good and quite detailed but there are certain elements which have been left out or covered very briefly (e.g. a huge section on working with dogs, but very little mention of working with cats in catteries etc - the author seems to tar dogs and cats with the same brush, which perhaps indicates that she may not be the ideal person to be writing a book on this topic!). The Europe/Worldwide section is nothing more than a section on the veterinary profession in that country and then a directory of animal/veterinary contacts in each country...
If it is the UK you are looking for info on there are several other books which have more detail, such as Alex Gough's. In terms of Europe/Worldwide then the fact that this is the only book I've come across which covers those areas is in its favour, but just don't expect too much from it!
