Product Description

Product Description

Fully revised, this directory contains details of over 700 organizations that are looking for voluntary help from all types of people for all types of work. The book covers short, medium and long term residential possibilities in Europe and around the world in addition to non-residential opportunities in the UK. There are opportunities around the world for both skilled and unskilled workers - nutritionists can spend two years on development projects in Mozambique, or any one over 18 can spend a couple of weeks helping on a monkey sanctuary in Cornwall.

1.0 out of 5 stars Maybe too thorough, 16 Dec 2002

As an example, the first section has 8 pages of normal volunteer work, and 10 pages seeking people to help evangelise in missions. This seems to continue through the rest of the book. There is definately good information in this book, tonnes if you want to help people buy teaching the gospel, a bit too much picking through if you feel this approach is less than helpful. This would have been more useful had it been split into two books. The green volunteer guide is a little out of date but better.
