5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent analysis of Faith in our rationalist society, 6 Jun 2000
Forster and Marsden look at the way so called fundamentalist thinking has obscured Faith for many seeking to resolve scientific thinking with the text of the Bible. They analise how the creation/evolution debate has not always taken into acount the differing styles of language in the Bible, while preserving the integrety of the bible as an inspired text. They also look how modern thought has attempted to undermine the gospels and have produced an excellent synthesis of the events of the resurrection that provoke an evangelistic challenge to the reader. This book is definately one to read to enable the thoughtful christian to have an answer for his or her faith. It has some very interesting research on the origins of some of the fundamentalist teaching behind the book the Genesis Flood by Morris.

5.0 out of 5 stars Complex but excellent work, 3 April 2001
Complex book giving logical, scientific and philosophical defence of Christian theism. It gives a good grounding in a reasoned faith and how both science and reason complement a faith that is biblical rather than fundamentalist.

5.0 out of 5 stars superb!, 11 Jul 2005

Ignore the creationist reviews/rantings on this website. This is an absolutely immense tour de force that shows, carefully and rationally, how science reason and faith fit together. Fantastic!
